Mindful Classroom
With a focus on yoga and breathing practices, this program teaches kids about physical and mental wellness and guides them in developing health habits that they can maintain long-term. Mindful Classroom provides in-person instruction or virtual content.

Giving Kids the Critical Life Skills They Need to Thrive in Today's World
Keeping Kids Active & Engaged
Children spend an average of 6 hours per day in sedentary behaviors both during and outside of school.* Mindful Classroom makes it easy for parents and teachers to integrate into their day, keeping kids active and moving throughout the day.
Develop a Positive Relationship With Self and Others
Studies have found that mindfulness increases students' empathy by helping them to regulate their emotions rather than get emotionally overwhelmed when faced with a difficult situation. As a result, their capacity to notice another person's suffering and respond to it increases.*
Supporting Kids Mental Health by Reducing Stress & Anxiety
Approximately 4.4 million children, ages 3-17 have diagnosed anxiety.* However a recent study found that 12 weeks of mindful yoga led to significant reductions in students’ problematic responses to stress, such as experiencing repetitive negative thoughts and strong, intrusive emotions.*
Develop & Sustainable Healthy Habits
Only 21.6% of kids in the U.S. reach the recommended 60+ minutes of physical activity, 5 days per week.* Mindful Classroom teaches kids that moving their body is fun and should feel good so they can develop a positive relationship with exercise that they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Improves Student’s Focus and Motivation
Developing awareness of body and breath increases the ability to be aware, focus, and pay attention to what is happening here and now- in the breath, body, and mind. Research has shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.*
Teaches Accountability
Teaches students how to take ownership over their physical wellness and mental wellbeing.
“We notice the kids are calmer and more self aware after yoga class and they even carry over skills like mindful breathing when they get frustrated throughout the week.”
- Lindsey Toomajian, Director Oakview Preschool
“Our kids are growing up in a world that prioritizes stimulation and productivity over peace and introspection, and, just like us, they need the tools to slow down and check in with their emotions. I created Mindful Classroom to do just that.”
